Academic Coach

We’re now hiring general academic coaches / tutors to work in our UK offices, as well as travel to students' homes and schools. The role is flexible, allowing you to set your own hours and pick/choose the tutoring opportunities that best suit your skills and schedule. We need general academic coaches who are able to tutor on any subject matter, as well as specialized coaches who are able to teach specific subjects (e.g. Chemistry, English, Math).

ROLE

Our academic coaches support primary and secondary school students in achieving their academic goals. As a coach, you will work with students in regular, one-on-one lessons either at their home, in one of our offices, or at the student's school. The student may require subject-specific tutoring, more general support on their school coursework, and/or help with test prep. Most students also require some level of help developing their executive functioning skills (e.g. time management, working memory, concentration, organisation).

As a candiate for this position, you must be passionate about teaching and learning. You must be able to adapt your teaching style to the needs of the individual student and help them discover the way they learn best. You will also need to be friendly, enthusiastic, patient, professional, and reliable.

Many of our students have unique learning differences, such as ADHD, anxiety, dyslexia, dysgraphia, and dyscalculia. You should either have experience working with a neurodiverse student population or be willing to learn/train in this area in order to meet the needs of our students.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum 2 years' experience working as a tutor or academic coach
  • Bachelor's degree (Master's degree is preferred)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Passion for the learning process
  • Empathy for the experiences of young learners
  • Driving Licence / ability to drive to different coaching locations

We’re now hiring academic coaches / tutors with a background in Special Education to work in our UK offices, as well as travel to students' homes and schools. The role is flexible, allowing you to set your own hours and pick/choose the tutoring opportunities that best suit your skills and schedule.

ROLE

Our academic coaches support primary and secondary school students in achieving their academic goals. As a Special Education Academic coach, you will work with students who have special educational needs, such as autism, Asperger's, ADHD and generalised anxiety disorder.

You will provide regular, one-on-one lessons either at the student's home, in one of our offices, or at the student's school. The student may require subject-specific tutoring, more general support on their school coursework, and/or help with test prep. Most students also require some level of help developing their executive functioning skills (e.g. time management, working memory, concentration, organisation).

As a candiate for this position, you must be passionate about teaching and learning. You must have a Speical Education background and experience working with a neurodiverse student population.
